Understanding My Spiritual Gifts
Every person alive was created by God with some special gifts inside them. God gives us these gifts so we can use them to make a difference in the lives of others. In order to do that we first need to understand God's gifts and start to discover what ones He gave us.

The Gift of Administration
God gives the gift of administration so the body of Christ can stay organized and on task. If we're going to reach the world for Christ, we need people to help us execute the systems we create within the church. If you are exceptional about keeping schedules, holding people accountable, and running teams, you may have this spiritual gift.
The Gift of Apostleship
God creates some people to start new ministries wherever they go. Pastor Ryan shares his personal journey of learning that he had the gift of apostleship. If you're a person with an uneding entrepreneurial spirit, you might have this gift as well.
The Gift of Craftsmanship
Do you love working with your hands and building things? Are you a natural carpenter? You may have the gift of craftsmanship. Your gift can be used in the church to create set designs, fix building issues, or provide help to people in the church who have construction needs.
The Gift of Discerning Spirits
God needs some of us to know when the spirit of Christ is behind a person's motivations, or when a demonic spirit is manipulating someone's motivations. The gift of discernment is often overlooked and underappreciated, but absolutely necessary in keeping wolves from eating the sheep among God's people.
The Gift of Evangelism
Do you have a history or leading lost people to Christ? Do you find joy in telling others about Jesus? Do you regularly find yourself in situations with unsaved people where you get to share yoru faith? If so then you have the gift of evangelism.
The Gift of Exhortation
Exhortation is encouragement with a kick. Perhaps God uses you to both encourage people and challege them to greater living at the same time. If that's the case, then you likely have this spiritual gift.
The Gift of Faith
Do you beleive God for big things when you pray? If so, you might have the gift of faith. Christians with this gift have an amazing ability to belive that God will provide whatever they are asking for in prayer. They are unwaivering in thier trust in God's ability to provide.
The Gift of Giving
Every Jesus follower is supposed to be generous toward the church and toward others. But some Christ followers are intentionally designed by God to be givers. If you have the gift of given, you find joy in financially supporting the mission of God through your church and through non-profit ministries. You may even be blessed by God to produce wealth so you can distribute it to the kingdom of God.
The Gift of Healing
Does God ever use you to bring healing to others? Maybe you pray for healing and see that God responds, or lay hands on others and watch God provide miracles. This is the gift of healing.
The Gift of Helps
Maybe you love coming along side a leader and helping them to carry out their vision. You may not want to be in the leaders chair, but you find deep joy in serving along side of someone so God can bring his vision together through you both. This is the gift of helps.
The Gift of Hospitality
People with the gift of hospitality love to open up their homes or create welcoming environments in their church for guests. This gift allows the church to have increidble small groups. Hospitable environments help people to open their hearts to God. Learn more about this wonderful spiritual gift.
The Gift of Intercession
Do you find joy in prayer? Unfortunately most Christians struggle to pray, but if you love praying then you may have the gift of intercession. This gift is used to protect the local church (particularly its pastors), advance the mission, and bring help and healing to others.
The Gift of Knowledge
God empowers some people to have knowledge and insight into things they shouldn't be able to see. He also allows others to store extraordinary levels of knowledge of the scriptures that they can then share with others. Watch this talk to learn about the spiritual gift of knowledge.
The Gift of Leadership
God empowers some people to lead wherever they go. From their local church, to their family, to their workplace, these people are used by God to by strong and wise leadership to others so they can move forward and build the kingdom of God together. Learn about the spiritual gift of leadership.
The Gift of Mercy
Some people are uniquely created by God to show mercy towards others. Mercy may be extended when someone has a moral failure and needs forgiveness. It is necessary when someone goes through trial or trgedy in their life. Mercy is needed when an injury or sickness occurs. People with this gift offer concern for the hurting and broken.
The Gift of Miracles

The Gift of Missionary
Very few people can minister to others across cultural lines. There are all types of barriers that separate people, things like race, gender, language, and cultural expectations. The Gift of Music
Some of us are uniquely wired by God to lead others in musical worship. We naturally play instruments and sing on key. When we lead worship, others are ushered into the presence of God. Come learn about the spiritual gift of music.
The Gift of Pastor/Shepherd
God raises up shepherds to care for the flock in his church. People with the gift of pastoring and shepherding are extraordinary at showing love, care, and concern towards others. The Gift of Prophecy
God gives some of us the ability to foretell or forthtell the coming of the future. This gift of prohecy is often used to correct people who are wandering on a wayward path away from God. The person with the gift is able to pull them back on course by being forthcoming about the results of poor decisions.
The Gift of Service
Every Christian is asked by God to be a servant of others. But some people have a unique spiritual gift to serve. They show up wherever there is a need, whether it be building a prop, helping someone to move, making food, copying materials, etc. These selfless volunteers find life in serving the greater body of Christ by giving away thier time.
The Gift of Teaching
Do you love to stand in front of groups and teach the word of God? Do you find deep joy in revealing the truths of scripture to others? The gift of teaching is needed in many environments within the local church, and you may just have it.
The Gift of Tongues and its Interpretation
